We got the first real snow this winter or technically this fall two nights ago. We had the freak storm in October but that snow disappeared within a few days and the average temperatures for the month of October and November were the second highest on record.

The new snow was not deep, only about two inches but up on Pleasant Ridge for some reason they got five inches. Temperature this AM was 12 degrees, coldest day so far this year.

It will be interesting to see if the snow stays until Spring. Once it used to snow in December it almost always stayed on the ground until March but with warming temperatures generally it will be worth noting.

Don’t take this as a definitive argument for global warming although personally I believe there is a lot to it, which fortunately puts me and Rush Limbaugh on opposite sides of the issue. I welcome his enmity.
