Last night on the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley they had a piece about the 50th anniversary of the start of the Walter Cronkite Evening News. My brother in law, as he says, is the last man standing who still has his marbles and was there that night. they interviewed him and the link is below. As you may recall from an earlier post, Sandy and my sister were at the Millbrook Diner that Friday when Kennedy was shot in Dallas. Sandy went directly to CBS in New York and was on the air around the clock.

On a related subject I got an email from one of my nephews who is a professor at the university of Maine who remarked that the New York Times refers to Lee Harvey Oswald as the “presumed assassin!”

Unfortunately you will have to listen to an advertisement before the Scott Pelley piece. Not sure how to delete it, so be patient, it’s worth it.
