I defy any of my readers over 30 to identify any of the above let alone hum a melody or sing a song. Some of my readers are accomplished musicians so I defer to them but forget about Tony Bennett, what happened to Elton John? So allow me to start a controversy, I will post here a video of a song you all can sing. In the interest of full disclosure Artie (as he was called then) was a college classmate who defied his parents wishes that he become an architect to join his high school friend and start a duo without a very clever name. In high school they were known as Tom and Jerry, ever heard of them? Ah and a last comment. I didn’t watch the Grammy’s but a reader told me that Elton John sang a song in honor of Levon Helm. Now that I could understand!.
