One of my readers regularly sends items of interest and he recently sent a group of pictures of American cities from 1905- 1915. Here is one of downtown Cincinnati, and yes I have some readers from there or Kentucky across the Ohio river. I have also posted one of Detroit about the same time. I have a reader who lives in Chicago and is a photographer. He grew up in downtown Detroit and went to Mumford High school! i imagine his grandparents were around when these pictures were taken.

When you see these pictures you realize that the streets were filled with people, the cars were few and elegant and all the men wore hats. Below is the link that you can cut and paste but worth it as many of the pictures are of New York City and the beaches in New Jersey and even one of the San Francisco earthquake a few days after.
