For some reason this was the summer of the implementation of the best lunch sandwich. Arugula seeds that came from Italy produced the best crop ever. The leaves were big, sharp but not bitter. Add fresh thinly sliced beefsteak tomatoes, sliced mozzarella, a thin baloney slice and two slices of Italian white bread. Top it off with mustard, cut it in half and sink your teeth into it. Some might prefer swiss cheese but the moistness of the mozzarella adds to the taste.
Now there is an addition that really brings it all together. Tom and Tina’s bread and butter pickles.
