French farmers throw crates of eggs in protest for the low price of eggs. My chickens are very upset and have been watching the problems in France with great alarm. I have assured them that their eggs will be eaten, put in omelettes, and will not be wasted.
It is interesting that if you throw an egg into the coop and it breaks, the chickens will immediately rush to it and eat it up. If an egg is not broken they will not touch it. I’m not sure what the lesson is here but I am willing to listen to any ideas from my readers… except maybe my rival blogger the fisherman in Montauk!
