The photo on the left was taken last week at a demonstration in Portland Oregon. The photo on the right was titled “The Face of a Nation’s Loss” in 1945 when FDR died. It appeared in Life Magazine and the caption was “Tears stream down the cheeks of accordion-playing Chief Petty Officer (USN) Graham Jackson as President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s flag-draped funeral train leaves Warm Springs, Ga., April 13, 1945.”
