Harry Reid is both loved and hated by many who follow politics. What you can’t deny is that he is a man or courage and decision. Having grown up in Searchlight Nevada poor and with no advantages, he served the country for over 40 years and is going out in a blaze of strong opinions.
The old lions in the senate are now fewer and fewer on both sides of the aisle, but here is an article from today’s New York times worth reading. This old fighter is going down swinging!
How can you not like a man who said:
“I’ve been in Washington 36 years and there have by my count been 136 various press correspondents’ dinners. I’ve been to one. And I might hold the record for spending as little time at fund-raisers as possible; I am usually in and out of the door in 10 minutes or less.”
