The below article from the Washington Post describes a genetically modified apple that wont turn brown. I never even thought about whether apples turning brown was a bad thing. It never bothered me and we have three orchards.

Some friendly neighbors over in Millbrook are experts in what is genetically modified, good to eat, bad to eat, shouldn’t be eaten, must be eaten etc.

Canola oil-bad, Olive oil- good. I never have spent much time thinking about these things although my brother who is ten years older than I, is very careful, reads all labels before ingesting anything.

However I saw the label on some smoked salmon that appeared in one of those baskets at Christmas that is filled with goodies ( or maybe badies). How could you eat anything that stayed good until 2022. I tried it in my free range organic chicken eggs this morning, not bad.
