We’ve had two days of rain sleet and ice forming on the roads. It is far more dangerous than snow and almost impossible to avoid slipping whether walking or driving. All of which brought to mind an incident several weeks ago when I almost went down for the count. I slipped on some ice but was able to get my arm down quickly to break my fall and quickly righted myself. I was not alone but a sympathetic friend, an amazing woodworker, said little other than to admire my dexterity and mercifully didn’t use the word spry.
Here is an old cartoon from the New Yorker that tells the story pretty well.
That same friend send a video after my slip and almost fall, have you no mercy faithful reader?
